Applicable award and requirement for performer:
- Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Woodwind, Brass, Four-handed piano, Chamber music, Vocal(solo), Vocal ensemble:
- Youth Music Award:
- Solo performers must have Two music pieces. One from the Classical period. One from any period of choice.
- Four-Hand Piano can only have one music piece of choice.
- Chinese Music Award: One Chinese piece
- Special Theme Award – Bach: One music by Johann Sebastian Bach
- All Chinese instrument:
- Youth Music Award: Two music pieces. One traditional Chinese piece and one Chinese piece of choice.
- Vocal (Bel Canto, Pop, Ethnic, Musical):
- Youth Music Award: Two original and contrasting pieces
- Chinese Music Award: One Chinese music
- Classical/ Electric Guitar, Ukulele, Percussion:
- Youth Music Award: One music piece of choice.
- Instrumental Ensemble:
- Youth Music Award: One music piece of choice.
- Excellent Performance Award (Any instrumental or vocal style)
- One music piece of choice.
